QuickBooks bank comparison: see whether your books match the bank
One of accounting's most tiring questions: does the figure in the books match the bank? Anlık Bakiyem's QuickBooks integration answers it with a read-only comparison: live balances and transactions from 30 banks are placed side by side with QuickBooks balances and General Ledger data.
What does the comparison do?
On the bank side, the real figures Anlık Bakiyem sees; on the accounting side, QuickBooks records: both compared on one screen. If there is a difference, you see where it is — no downloading statements and hunting line by line.
The comparison is READ-ONLY: nothing is written to your QuickBooks data, no record is changed.
Why read-only?
Because accounting records are the accounting system's job. The goal here is not to change the books but to independently verify that the books agree with the bank. The read-only design shrinks the security surface and zeroes out the 'accidentally corrupted a record' risk.
Access is limited by the same role and scope rules as the app; you decide who sees the comparison.
How does it differ from the Odoo side?
The two integrations do different jobs: on Odoo, approved transactions are EXPORTED into accounting; on QuickBooks, records are COMPARED read-only. Pick the right tool for your accounting system; both run on the same bank connectivity.
Both flows are defined together during setup and are subject to the audit trail.
PARTS OF THE COMPARISON
